How do you remove the solder on tabs? Do you have a video on taking one of those packs apart?

Don’t buy these. I ordered 40 packs. Almost 50% of the cells are unusable to make into larger packs. 25% were below 1v or at 0v. After testing the salvageable ones, if I could use all the cells somehow, it come to more than $160/kwh. So many of them are well below 80% original capacity. Realistically, to only use the cells that would make good larger packs, you are at $200/kwh.
The fullriver packs after testing gave me $92/kwh with 90% of the cells between 3100-3400wh each. I would buy the fullriver again, but not these blue packs.
Don’t get me wrong, I really like what Jag35 is offering in terms of other products and the information he is sharing. I have learned a lot. But this particular product is not good.
Can you charge these in a typical 18650 charger without modification? mmm, I guess you could go wires and neodymium magnets or grocery store broccoli rubber bands. Too bad their are a little longer than a D cell or they would be super cool for conversions. D cell 61.5mm~ and 26650 65mm~
Any thoughts on taking this for a 12 kwh build? not going to buy all at once, but looking to make at least 2kwh in 1 kwh packs for the time. Should I just save up and buy a liFep04 from China?
I have 52 volt but its already made I want to make 72 volt how do I do it
I have bought 12 packs to build a 12v 100ah – 150ah battery. There are 5 sets of 3 batteries in each pack resulting in 60 sets to be tested and repacked. So far I have found around 12 sets to be short circuits, which is an 80% yield. I haven't tested capacity of them yet.
So update on these batteries, I Ordered some to see if they were a good deal or not, and got a call from fed ex and was told that the items I ordered were returned due to not passing hazmat issues. Frustrating. But I did reach out to jag and waiting on reply, so I will keep all updated.
are the BMS boards going to sole seperately ? i got two bms pcbs- one 16s48v 50amp, another 4s 12v 100amp.
I’m not to sure if this is a SCAM But I ordered some and I’m in American/California and still waiting for them to get here. Still patiently waiting and I will update the status/capacity/quality of the battery IF they ever come!!!!!!
I recently bought 48 280AH Life04 prismatic, top grade, batteries from a Company I found on Alibaba for $90 each delivered to me in California. Absolutely fabulous batteries with incredible power.
And it took about 4 weeks to arrive at my front door.
4 months earlier I ordered 96 200Ah batteries. They were right around $75 each delivered to my door.
I run 2 mini-split air conditioners in the house,
one large wine cellar refrigerator,
a garage A/C and charge my car as well,
and except for the wine cellar, they all run all night
including car charging.
Then the sun comes up. I charge to 90% full, down to 20% but it varies. (Could even go lower)
Absolutely amazing batteries.
Easy to order, easy to get, well packed, yes it's from China.
I know all about your bitching.
If lazy Americans would make something other than COMPLAINING we would have them available here.
Lithium Iron Phosphate (Lifep04) is much more stable than Lithium ion chemistry,
and much easier to install than little 18560 cells. and NO cell level monitoring and balancing.
At least for my large solar system, 123KW battery and 19KW solar.
I have been cycling now my two banks for about 6 months and there is NO cell drift. Yet.
It could happen, but at around 1/2 an amp per battery charge rate, and even less discharge, I'm not worried.
And I don't use a BMS either. Just a couple good voltmeters a good current shunt and smile A LOT.
So just take what Jehu says with the understanding that he has a product to sell and do your own comparisons.
