All right guys, let's talk about batteries. We got some new batteries come in into our warehouse and I want to show you a few of them uh and just quickly go over them so you can see what our new offerings are. So we have a small palette of these, about a hundred of these. There's not too many.

um, it almost doesn't even warrant a video for them. but I'm just gonna do a quick video about them. These are the very popular A123 cells. They're the A and R 26, 650 M1 A's There's also M1bs I think which are like newer ones or where, but these are power cells, right? These are what used to be I think maybe in some E-bikes and then the uh, boosted skateboards and that sort of stuff because they can put quite a bit of amperage.

and so this, uh, this is a 24 volt module and it has four cells in parallel and eight cells in series. So that's how you get to 24 volts. Now there's two types. There's some that say say out of balance and then some that don't say out of balance So I took one of each and um and I took it apart, took the uh, the rap wrappings apart and I tested it.

In the end the ones that are set out of balance. one of the groups here is low voltage right? and so this one you would have to see if the would come back, try to charge it and then match with the other ones and if that happens then you got a good pack right? But If maybe not it doesn't come back up then you would have to kind of repair it. Take those out and then put other four in there and then go from there on. the ones that are.

don't say out of balance I Checked it and yeah, these ones are balanced. You know I mean they're They're not perfectly balanced but they're You know all the cells have have uh of good voltage right? and so yeah, we're gonna put two listings. we're gonna count how many of them say out of balance and then how many don't and then we'll list them. that way we'll sell the ones out of balance a tiny bit cheaper.

We're just gonna blow this these uh packs away right? We just slightly a little bit higher from what we paid for them just so they go out there. This came with other larger loads of batteries and so they're not. You know, we don't know if we're getting more of these or these might be it. So if you're looking into getting some of these, uh, very very powerful.

Uh A123 cells right in a module that it's already 24 volts. You know if you get a few of these working you very easily, Uh, make a 48 volt module. There we go. That's 48 volts right there.

A nine. uh almost 10 amp hours I think nine point something Now Powers: They are kind of big and heavy. uh when it comes. so they're not very energy density right? Uh, because they're power cells.

Uh, the other thing is that there's a couple of. uh, there's a couple of versions that they have this little connector here so you will have to get these cables and maybe cut them very carefully and then put your own connector so that you can check and install your BMS in there, right? I think all three of these have different connectors. That's one type, this is another type and then this is an even another type. So I think there's three different versions of that connector.
So uh, because of that, I'm not even gonna look for the connectors and then try to. You know, find them a thing because yeah, there's there's so few of these. And because there's too many different connectors, right? So I would have to look for three different So that's what we're doing. We're just gonna blow them out.

kind of cheap. Just go to Jack35.com and uh, you'll find them there. This is another big deal. Okay, stay tuned for another video coming up.

Uh, tomorrow we'll I'll show you another type of battery. Oh, it's right here. Uh, we have a few of these balance batteries too. I have to test it out and figure out how they work and stuff and then I'll make a video about that one.

So until then, thank you for watching all the videos and all your support. We'll see you on the next video. Thank you bye thank you thank you Foreign.

Can they be used in a UPS?

Going to rewire this pack and add a balance conector to each cell. And then balance and bin them to 80v battery pack. This is going to be an awesome battery.

Where did you get those cells from? A123 has stopped producing those for many years already 🧐

You have listed the wrong specs on your webpage. the ANR26650M1A are 4c to 95% SOC. You listed it as 80%. Also your Listing the 10C Cycle life you could also list the 1C Cycle life which is >4,000 Cyles.

We really need you here in Europe! Someone knows where to find such deals in Europe?

  9. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars James Bra says:

Yeah these would work great for a powerwall, specifically in an RV or a home off-grid system.

    LOL, OK hollywood.

I see they are at end of life 80% capacity. A little pricey given that fact.

maaaan, if I didn't just finish my 14S30P 18650 pack…. these would be a prime candidate.

  13. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jason Broom says:

That's about 22 cents per watt-hour, with the ability to put out a lot of amps. I guess for a very specific use-case, that would be good. Unless I really needed the higher amperage output, I'd go with the SLM121 packs you're offering, which are about the same size and offer a lot more capacity, at $.16/wh. The A123 cells could be harvested and reconfigured for other purposes, I suppose.
