5. The Zytek 55KW motor on the smart goes up to 12,000 rpm at the approx 75mph top speed. Peak torque is 120 Nm (88 ft-lb) @ 0-4400 rpm and falls off to about 45Nm (33ft-lb) @ 12,000. Continuous torque is somewhat less. Oh ya that will push your bug. The smart weighs about 2100lbs.

7. Excuse my lack of knowledge , my question:
   Can you separate the controller and run an aftermarket ac controller
   is hacking it this unit a must in order for it to work
   Is hacking the way to go to use the components already meted with the motor?

   I am sorting out a way to do do 4-motor 4wd vehicle by trying to do direct drive (if logical) and fabricate & mount on the steering knuckle.
   concept is pocket rocket on a budget, probably should have left this comment in the dreamer section, but fan of a channel so here it is

11. 22" wheels is 22 x2,54 =55,88cm width and the circumference is 3.142 x 55.88 = 175.57 cm or 1.7557m … or one rotation . 60mph = 100km/h or 100/60 = 1.66667 kilometers per minute or 1666.67 meter per minute … so how many rotations of the wheel .. well 1666.67 meters per minute / 1.7557 meters per rotation = 949.3 rotations per minute (rpm) @ 100 km/h … so if the motor is running at 4000rpm … you need a major reduction ie 1:4 gear ratio. … if I have made a mistake please let me know… so if this is 1000rpm motor which I doubt (more likely 6000-8000rpm) then your gear ratio needs to me 1:8

14. that is real cool i worked at international they had a hybread bus and i ask whar the heck is the coolant running with the comtron board . well you opening it up make more sence . its a heat seank to keep the brain and motor cool . just a in put will keep watching you and learn as we going along PEACE OUT

15. Hey Jehu, you can use the 55kw by using the kickdown. Only for a few seconds, but it works. Is the car similar to the German Smart?
