This week we head out to Lake Havasu for the yearly Buses by the Bridge event brought to you by LONDON BRIDGE BULLIS. Every year hundreds of Volkswagen buses gather around in Lake Havasu for a four day weekend of camping fun.
This year we decided to attempt to bring the Electric Samba Project. It's the longest trip we will attempt so far. Our current battery pack is giving us about 120 miles or so, and this is about a 270 miles trip one way, so there will definitely be some challenges along the way, but that won't stop us from trying.
In this episode we prepare as much as we can to get both the Electric Samba and The Egg Bus ready to tackle this long journey. Stay tuned for the next episode.

Paul G

Is your company available for doing EV conversions for the public? I have a Honda im interested in converting to an EV. What is your email address?
Hey… Loved ur ride… Hahaha, btw will u consider adding solar panel on top of it?
Wow, I love these and an electric one is like it was meant to be. Great job keeping these beauties from the rust heap.
I want to do a kindness tour with your bus through Canada, the bus should have all my stickers on it. You can find a video about my kindness movement in my youtube account called – Medicine Art!
Man can u give me a the cost you put into it? Please… 🙂
I LOVE anything to do with electric vehicles !! Never heard of the 'Buses by the Bridge event' in Lake Havasu and I go there all the time. When does this even take place every year? I want to come see you guys there. I'm a huge Tesla fan. I wish you would have showed the electric motor you're using and the batteries 'after' they were installed in your VW. I subscribed to you channel. Keep up the good work. (Dennis)
Just don't use those batteries in Alaska…
I think i saw you in your vw
you said your 12 volt battery when down why don't you add a simple alternator/genartor. a simple 12 volt blower motor will chage may get low return 10 or 15 amps to keep you 12 volts running . could get it to spin off the axel LOVE what you doing GARCIA BRAIN AT WORK
The fast forwarded parts of the video (soldering the battery packs) are the most interesting parts.
