Great vids but I'm wondering can we go back to the fuse issue? I'm concerned that the fuses are causing efficiency losses due to too a high current flowing through a barely capable wire. (My application is home power storage) could you do a test with a known shorted cell and higher rated fuses? I'm thinking a 12A fuse may still blow and would waste much less power due to heating losses in normal use. What are your thoughts? Also is the protection built in where the positive becomes disconnected due to internal pressure sufficient or is it better to rely on fuses? Thank you 🙂

Talking of using the Grid as back up and being an off grid system… I wonder if there are high current diodes available to stop you from supplying the grid while connected.. Hmmm it is probably easier to just fit an auto changeover switch panel though. but not if it's not fully bi-directionally automatic
There are people out there doing projects over a three year period.. And you are worried about splitting a project into two parts.. lol
Don't stress dude, just film what you enjoy, save the footage and update the video side when you can. At least that way you stay enthusiastic about the project itself and stay on track with it.

What I'd like info on is the best way to build a BMS for the 7 sets (28) of Amermans 38120's I bought (building a 56Ahr 12.8v Leisure battery.) Victron has said just check them every few months EKK! passive balance will be enough. I can't say I like that idea.
Connecting to a 3Kw inverter I'm likely to pull a max of 234 amps and I can't find a "pass-through" type of BMS that powerful. 🙁
