    I love you're dogs😅

  2. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Denny De waal says:

That cell level fusestrip you came up with is brilliant

A good video so now I've got a question for you. I am building a 52v battery (14s10p) and I want to power my motor which is a 250w motor at 36v. I will change the controller so can handle the higher voltage and limit the amps to 5A from the controller so I can still be in the 250w range. Would the fuse type connection be advisable?

Hey J I love all your video .I have a commercial rack mount inverter 3000va 72volts. I am useing 6 190 amp red batterys . Can i used tesla.battery pack to power my inverter

I like your honesty. You are not pretentious.

    A big lamp ? hmmmmmm….

How important is cell level fusing if I use K2 26650 Lifepo4 cells in my powerwall. I run it at 12v. I know that the this chemistry is safer.

  8. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Sardonic1981 says:

so if I had a 30Q 3Ah, 15A peak draw, then I would need roughly double the size?

  9. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars shashanka vatticuti says:

Dude, is it just for me or your links to other video doesn't work?

  10. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars robviolin1 says:

I think people want to know what gauge per amp. Example – a 6 amp draw , should should use a 30 gauge fuse wire.

hi there, ive been waching your videos on tesla dtyle battery module, how much does each module weigh, and what khw rating?

thanks in advancw and keep up the good work!!

1/4 W resistors are cheap, you can buy them for a couple of bucks per 3 or 4 hundred. So what's the problem? The trouble is that the lead diameter of 1/4W resistors varies by manufacturer and country of origin. I just went through my bin of 1/4W resistors and measured them anywhere from .016" to .0225". Current is based on wire size, about 700 CM (circular mils) per amp. So you want uniform wire wire for your projects, NOT resistors and you want to check wire charts to get in the ball park of the wire size you want to start testing amperage capacities with. You can use bare copper wire instead of fuse wire but you still have to test it for your application.
Jehu, I enjoy your videos but people are going to build dangerous battery packs if they follow your lead. Batteries can be very dangerous not handled and applied correctly.

  13. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars TG Lasers says:

Won't this cause a chain reaction. say a pack of 100 cells are fused and 5 fuses blow. wont the other cells have to compensate for the current loss? leading to more fuses blowing?

  14. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Rob the Bob says:

Hi, why are you fusing both sides of the battery, i know tesla is doing this also but why is one side not enough? Nice greetings from germany

  15. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars oldskoolhead0 says:

just buy fuse wire rated for the current you require simples

hello there ! what is the last track on this video ?? 🙂
