All right here we go a quick video tonight. I am on location, trying to electrify a bw bus right, so we're gon na be using six tesla modules and we don't have the battery box and we're running at a time. So what i'm going to do is i'm going to mock up the battery. This is the battery.

It's all wired uh. This is battery minus. This is battery plus right. So i already, and then this is the uh main switch.

All this stuff is going to be inside of the battery box. These are all the sensing leads for each module and it includes the thermistors right and then this is, of course, our the lithium bms um. This is also gon na go inside of the battery box. Right so this is gon na maintain the battery, and the reason why i have it all wired here is because uh tomorrow, what i'm going to do is i'm going to hook it all up to the controller over there and then from the controller, i'm going to Run some temporary wires to the motor and i'm going to try and set up that motor right, try to try to get it running so that we can then let them finish the box and then put all the stuff together in here.

But this is some quick saving uh products here. These are bus, bars that you can buy now and you can buy them this way or you can buy them that way they make them in both sides. Also bm uh, the uh breakout boards here by evie, wes uh and there's a few companies that make these this make it super simple to make this harness. It literally took me about three hours i think, to wire all this stuff up.

It's 30 groups, 30 cells. Right at 30, as battery pack uh and all the thermistors i mean this is something that took us when we did the uh lewis cole right the fun for louis project, it took us a long longer. Of course, we did use 14 of these modules as opposed to five, so there's less of this, but even then i remember we had to crimp a lot of wires. We have to do a bunch of stuff and this time around.

This is a lot quicker by using these boards and just a pre uh crimped pre-assembled little uh harnesses that we get from ev west. This definitely helped speed up this whole process of doing this also, we have some of these l brackets. That will help a lot on this battery box. Keep the wires neat and uh.

It actually helps you gain quite a bit of uh space, because now you can put this sideways instead of having to bend that big wire. This wire doesn't bend us easily because it's super thick and uh there you go. This is how you would put together a five module: 30s 111 nominal battery pack. You could also build two of these with 10 modules and then connect them in series.

Right i mean in parallel, so you can double your capacity but anyways. This is just a quick video from what i'm doing this week. Hopefully i can get get it done before i head back home, uh or else there's gon na be quite a bit of uh conversations back and forth in the on the phone just to try to help these guys get this project all right. Thank you for watching this video we'll see you guys on the next one.
Bye.

Looks like I could possible do a 2p2s of those battery packs and tie them to my Prius for extended battery range. Anyone ever try this?
