8) Why not use Supercapacitors?
A. Batteries work better at this time, caps are rare and expensive devices that are very good at doing things not needed for storage systems typically.

    Right!?

why do all inverters I get break down after a month or so?

That inverter was built in china.

I need to make a portable 48V 10kWh hand truck system. Xijia makes a 3000-watt (6.7kg) inverter/charger that might work well if I can get it in 120V AC. I need to decide between this and a Growatt 3000-watt, which is about 650USD but weighs only 12kg, or a Growatt 5000-watt at about 900USD.

I have one of these 3000 watt inverters I’m setting up to use to power a mobile studio out of my car. My only problem has been after a couple of weeks of driving around, two of the internal inductors have completely broken off the logic board. I’m confident I could re-solder in some replacements, but I don’t know the specs. Any idea what part number I’m after?

I just received my inverter, almost two years after this video was made. When shopping on eBay, I saw one that was cheaper, and the part number was different. I think it was an older revision, that is the same as the unit in this video. This video has only two heavy wires coming off of each terminal. At the input section, it has one inductor and one bank of 5 fuses. There is space on the circuit board for another inductor and four more fuses. If the fuses blow accurately, that would be under 3000w of continous power. The manual says that the unit is protected by 9 fuses and the unit in the video shows only 5. I opened up my unit and it does have all 9 fuses, and both inductors. It also has 3 heavy wires from each terminal instead of just 2. The new part number that is actually capable of 3000 watts continous is PWRIG300012120S. The other difference in the specs, is the lessor unit can handle 6000w for .1 second, but the new unit can handle it for .5 seconds.

AIMS Inverters has the worst customer service. I would recommend another brand. The employees there do not care about their customers. I'm very reasonable and was treated like crap!

It's still way cheaper to just use a gas can. Gasoline only weighs 6 1/2 pounds per gallon. And, it takes you a lot further than a Tesla will.

Not all low frequency Ames inverters are built the same. Ames inverters are built in China to Ames specs. That is 10-GUAGE (AWG) wire, not 10 millimeter (mm) wire. Putting five (5) 40-amp fuses in parallel does not necessarily, and usually does not, equal 200-amps. If you want 240 volts, you can buy an Ames 10,000 watt inverter with 240 volt split phase. You can even buy a 6000 watt version.
Not sure I would use this particular inverter for what you're trying to do. If your goal is to get maximum current, it would be a lot better to buy an Ames inverter which uses direct wiring output instead of a socket. Direct wiring output will use the full capacity of the inverter, instead of just a socket which can only use 20 amps.
PLEASE!!, put the camera someplace static, not on top of your head.
Which model inverter are you talkin about??
Add a couple last but not least, use a bigger inverter. The 6000 watt inverter only weighs 18 lbs.

i just had a 3kw one with a great remote wifi lcd, lasted 15 mins… then the electronics for the lcd went iffy and it smoked, but the inverter part of the board was stable at 2.5kw, replacement had good lcd electronics but the mosfets went on the 3rd kettle load at only 2kw….

got my ebay refund so no worries, now to try my best on ebay again….the search continues, 3kw under £200 ……

This is a quality peice of electronics even if it's made in China. But the price is slightly higher the same electrical rating equipment is available for 200 USD in India
