Ive got quite a few MOSFET off of BMS on 40 cell scooter packs. "ST 15810" seems to be the part number.
The datasheet reports they are pretty beefy at 100v and 110A. Im curious if they would make good replacements for upgrading a ebike controller.
    Any comments????

Be quicker with just a well geared hand crank on top and pressure is maintained by the user as they hold the crank handle down and spin the wheel. Less mechanical stuff to worry about as breakdowns mean downtime on production.

stepson bought one of these wheels and we are currently building his old bike into an e-bike. The only thing I can say is " how did you get it into the shipping bag". I resorted to cutting it out with a razor , you need this.

    What is it for?

I think rather than a linear actuator, it should just be sprung. Also, if the wheel rolled around it's axis as well as spinning then you could completely wrap it rather than just around its equator. I think that motor might be a little underpowered if you want it to pull the film off the roller under a bit of tensions. Maybe a wiper motor might be more suitable.

36V 350W Bafang front hub with Tektro disc brakes? This looks exactly like a motor I bought recently from a commercial dismantling project. This is an awesome motor for a DIY Ebike. Knowing how to build or source a battery and motor controlling system for Ebikes is a plus (but not a large hurdle to overcome) . Don't shy away from this motor; it may not be super powerful, but it is certainly fun. If I'm wrong about the motor specs, I'm sorry, but you didn't spec it.
