Let’s talk about batteries! ❤️
So 2P 50Ah (50+50=100, there’s that basic math again) is 100Ah? LOL
GREAT vid, though for those that NEED it. I LOVE your stuff.
I started making 48v SPIM08HP High Amp Load Packs for my Solar System from your video about them.
I 3D Print my own hardware for the packs too. The Frames and the little bolt blocks to tie cels + to – together and compress the pack cells to minimize expansion during operation. Plus a Nice High Amp Pack BMS, of course.
Wow Jehu, you really did a great job DUMBING this down for those that need that level of explanation because they don’t know put in the needed research to learn about low voltage DC for themselves, huh? Or is it a self confidence problem? This info just seems like a DUH moment to me, basic math, 24+24=48?
On a different note, are you concerned that PCBWay being Chinese, they might steal your IP and duplicate your designs, erm fake reverse engineer it by copying your board designs with insignificant, minor changes?
hey man I just saw your video on the ecoflow delta mini and the extra battery's you sell i was wondering if it would work with the ecoflow river max? i would love to buy a few! im just confused the river shows a solar input of 200W 10-25V dc 12A Max and the mini shows 300W 11–75V DC 10A max is the amps and volts on the extra battery a problem? i really want a few due to there not being another expansion for the max haha also im only asking because the battery's you on your river video shows page not found anymore when i click buy.
Very good and simple to understand One question brother if you can answer in your next video
Can we series 2 DEFRENT voltage batteries to build 48v battery
I mean if we series 18650 7s battery to lifepo4 8s battery
IS THAT WAY CAN WORK
I’ve been building packs for race cars, using 50 180aH LiFePO4 cells, and in the 8 years I’ve been racing I’ve found that millivolt-precision bottom balancing to 2.500v works better than a BMS, and avoids the weight and complexity and possible failure modes of a BMS. Two caveats: I’ve only ever done this with LiFePO4 chemistry, and I always balance each cell at least 3 times, usually allowing at least 8 hours between the first and second balancing, and 3 hours between the second and third. And precision is key, you need a quality volt meter that is precise in the millivolts. (Coincidentally enough, I’m bottom balancing at this very moment, preparing some packs for the upcoming “25 Hours of Thunderhill” race)
Yes! More 48V builds! I'm in the process of building a 200+A 48v pack for my V2 electric DIY zero turn. Good winter project.
Looks like you have all the bits to make the 48v system, perhaps you'll have enough demand to set them up out the gate for folks?
And of course you're limited in how you can ship these. Perhaps a little diy can come into place here. Sell it as a disassembled kit, ship it in separate boxes, some assembly required. You get everything you need, comes in separate boxes, and hopefully with good instructions too. My 2¢
Say you DONT make the changes to the PCB that you suggested at the end. What is the negative impact? Longevity? Efficiency?
Are these batteries even in stock now?
Let's talk about batteries! 🙂 I did basically the same thing, using two of the 50ah, 12v batteries, to power my 24v trolling motor. I don't know how many of those cells you're going to be able to source, long-term, but I doubt it will ever be enough to meet demand.
Love your stuff help a brother out to poor to buy it hahaha
Can I use that for my 24-volt wheelchair for my mother
No I'm using 24 volts for my house how much are those
For those who live close to your shop we should be able to just stop by and purchase a battery? would be no shipping charges.
I love how smart you are bro keep up the great content creating!
BTW: Before anyone asks "Why we don't sell these already 48v". Reason is Lithium shipping has many restrictionsthe and the 48v pack exceeds both the weight and size we are currently able to ship.
