4. Jehu, The practical way fuses were designed was to go 4 wire gauges smaller than the wire that you are trying to protect. This is the old way to design a fuse! AND IT WORKED! Mostly! The problem is that this rule of thumb did not apparently conceive that we would charge and discharge batteries continuously for the very long times that we charge EV's. So the new plan is to use 80% of the old empirically derived fuses because that is found to be SAFER!

   The old wiring codes are Wrong in EV use! We have learned empirically that wiers get hot after hours of high current charging. Who knew? But, We know now! Plug and chug! The science has been done and distilled to books on electricity.

   Jehu, you don't need a degree to use the new rules! Be safe and keep on going!

Just tell them that Jesus did not consult OSHA (that was made up by the corrupt lyndon johnson who spent his life stealing elections and tax money and ruining our country) when he started Christianity and that was fatal (he was crucified at the end) and George Washington made the same mistake when he did the super dangerous mission of leading the revolutionary war, but alternatively, he kicked some a** with those brit monsters and their stupid royals. There is a wonderful book that I reviewed before I started my EE PhD that is called "A First Course in Probability" by another Californian called professor Sheldon Ross, that I recommend for those who do not know how decisions are to be made and how to calculate risk with real numbers lol

9. There are different ways of pondering the issue of safety. Do you adopt the engineering/scientific way, with facts and figures and tests and experiments; or do you prefer the philosophical way, like 'life is dangerous and in the end we all die'? 12. old video but it seems idiotic that if you're interested in a particular hobby you should study and possibly go to college before pursuing said hobby? i have 10 different projects one of them is a cnc machine that i just finished and all it takes is research online and by trial and error
