7. I know this Video was from years ago. I have been catching up on your videos but I am new to your YT Channel. I have a UPS that might suit you well. I purchased it to do pretty similar to what you were trying to do. I got a APC SuRTA3000XL. I was told it works but would need batteries. He told me it has 2 banks of 8 12volt 5ah SLA batteries. I was thinking that is 96 Volts. A bit more than most but manageable. I apologize this is going to be a little long. Once I got it and opened it up I found out the 2 battery banks are in series and not parallel so it needs 192V. There is a relay that must be tripped for these UPS to do anything. It took some doing but I borrowed some batteries out of my lawn equipment and some other devices and managed to get the relay tripped so I am certain it works. I tried to make my first soiree into lithium but I will admit I am on a shoe string budget. I got my hands on 52 3.7V 4.5ah Li-ion battery packs with a BMS built into each. Unfortunately these cannot handle the current draw needed to run the inverter. I think the BMS is the limiting factor but was curious if you still wanted something or if you got that figure out already. I would be willing to do some horse trading if you are interested. Let me know.

11. I have a question for all of you guys out there whose brains are larger than mine: is there a book out there that is a primer on electricity? I want to get into DIY solar, but I don't understand most of what is being said. Can you all point me in the right direction? My dad was an electrical engineer and he would smack me for not knowing this!

12. Would you be willing to work up a system design for an Airstream? I'm restoring one now and want to have a 12v DC and 110v AC system with solar panels, sufficient battery storage to run off-grid, and a transfer switch for when I'm home and plugged in to the grid.
