hi, im currently planning to build a battery pack using 18650 cells in a 12 volt configuration, 30 cells long by 12 wide, 360 cells in total, what kind of charger or power supply would i need to charge it? im asking you as you seem to know a lot more about this subject than me.

Garcia, You've inspired me to convert my 61 Kombi!! I started taking engine and electrical auto classes to learn the fundamentals so i can restore my bus. I've forsakened my VW, abandoned at my folk's house when i joined the military. Wasn't sure how to approach the project BUT NOW.. i fried engines in the past (temp,blown crank,etc) how does your bus handle harsh temps, what considerations should I address before converting my VW to electrical? Awesome work! Genius!

Why not build a box for those batteries to protect them and restore the rigidity of the Bus's frame?
This is terrific! You mentioned you always drive in 3rd; what happens if you shift through the gears like with a petrol engine?
How fast is it possible too drive the bus with this conversion?

What sort of generator can be placed instead of batteries if an e-motor consumes 450 watt per mile?
do you think is worthy to buy an old mini bus and convert it into electric? how much would it cost for the conversion into about 500 kilometers per charge?
What about water under the car ? Did you waterproof there batteries under the bus ?
