9. You got very lucky, I had a 1972 Buick GS Stage 2 matching numbers. It had been in storage for almost two years, so there were no register or anything that the cops could look up, this in the late 1980s.
   I was driving a cab at the time…now I had brought the car to my house, from storeage, (I had just recently come back to the US) but couldn't get into the driveway at the moment, tenant had their car blocking it, so I parked the car directly in front of the house, with it's cover still on. I kept looping back to try to get it in, when I showed up and there were several police cars, s tow truck etc. I asked what was the problem and was told the car had no plates or reg, and their lookup found nothing. I explained the situation, and they say it's going to the impound. Well, of course when I went to the impound to collect it, they had NO IDEA what I was talking about, and had NO records of any such vehicle. The Precinct gave me the same bullshit.
   See I had purchased the car from a cop at That precinct, I guess it burned him up to see it repaired and running like it should.
   Well NYPD 112th pct, central booking in those days, dirty cops are all too easy to find.
   You go overseas, you go to war and get dumped on for doing it. I never ever trusted a cop again. 😠😎

11. I was ticketed for the same thing for switched license plates and not registered. I was ticketed and had a court appearance to boot. Charges were reduced and I paid a fine. Breaking the law is YOUR fault, getting caught is your fault, not the police. Thanks for admitting you were wrong, but your rant falls on deaf ears.

13. Hey man COPS SUCK. I am sorry that happened to you. I am a long hair guy and when I was young there was always some low level cop ready to give me a hard time. but as I got older still with long hair they leave me alone, I asume because I am white. What the F??k. I know I have it easyer than you. I totaly feel your pain because it isn't right. Please keep doing what you are doing. I am getting a lot out of it.

14. This happened to a friend of mine, should just closed your garage, taken any ticket tried to give then challenge in court. If you present your case right, not many judges are going to be okay with a cop following you home to cite you, unless you fled of course…
