7. That bump switch does not send any canned signals. It is a simple cut off. They go off accidentally all the time.
   That's why there is a simple pushbutton restart.

   And no you cannot use a ODB2 Reader off-the-shelf.

   Maybe you could use Mercedes-Benz reader if it has the correct software if it's been updated. Depending on the year of it
   Doubtful.

   I also severely doubt just closing the contactors is going to work. You could cause more problems. The car is going to think one of the contactors is stuck.

   Start with the simple stuff. Check your 12 V battery sound stupid but a lot of problems start there
   Then work your way around looking for anything disconnected or not grounded.
   Grounds are extremely important for the computer.

   Do you hear the contactors start to close and then reopen. That would mean you have something pulling current.
