3. Some many years ago I was involved in a Human Powered Vehicle Hour record attempt using that track and had the assistance of some of the employees there. The trick that was used to get track time cheaply was to take the driving school course that operates there on weekends when Auto racing is not done. There was classroom time of more than an hour that gave us use of the track. I set up my old Ricoh Hi-8 camera way up in the empty stands to document the event. For reasons having to do with wind and the banking, the record attempt could not proceed, but it was a very interesting morning. Surprisingly that very fast auto racing track is too slow for Human Powered vehicles traveling at speeds over 50mph. The records were broken instead at a six mile Automobile Company's test track where the rider could remain on the flat through the much bigger curves. Current straight-line speeds for such rocket shaped vehicles is over 86mph, by the way. Can you get your eBus to such speeds without going downhill?
