I have used the Panny 7-14 f4 since first introduced in 2009. Always loved the look of that lens. But I have added the Olympus 8mm f1.8 fisheye, the Laoaw 7.5mm f2 and the Leica 12mm f1.4 So the Panny 7-14 is the vesatile workhorse and the primes are for speed and different looks. You can’t go wrong with either the Oly or the Panny. Both are stellar performers. And I can attest to how durable the Panny is.
P.S. I love that Oly fisheye. What an “oh wow” kind of lens.
You want more fat but no sugar. No no fat thing is a falacy
the olympus has better contrast and a faster aperture.. but the lumix has less lens flare, very low bubble distortion, and getting cheaper everyday…. mmm

Visually, the 2.8 is pretty clearly superior. It is pretty damn massive though, so I could understand not wanting to vlog with it.
do they both has inbuilt image stabilization?
Way to much bouncing, I'm sea sick. Other than that thanks for the info but I couldn't watch it till the end Mr Shakes.
Panasonic DFD (Depth from Defocus) will only work with the Panasonic lens. If you buy the Olympus lens it wont have the best autofocus.
is the olympus autofocus work well on the lumix camera?
Stop vibrating when you're talking, or at least stabilize your video

How about the lack of image stabilization? Did you find the footage too shakey\jittering?

One thing I've noticed with the Olympus 7-14 is that there is a slight color shift. We do lots of 4 camera shoots and the Olympus always has a little warmer. Not the biggest deal in most situations but for multicam shoots its annoying.
Hey jehu! How do you like these g4 autofocus system compared to the the 70d. I have a lumix g7? Thinking about getting the 7-14 but wondering if I should scrap my 4/3 system and just get a 70d what do you think?
