This is more true with lipo batteries if i'm not mistaken tho right??? 50% in 3 years actually sounds about right from what has been reported. Tho still a huge exaggeration
Maybe you must do 3 cycle of ch/disch to find out real capacity
Hi all!
How to preserve a 18650 for a long time without using it? How was done in this video, fully charge it and leave it like for a year, two, or charge it once every 6 months, and store it in dry and room temperature? Thank you!
does the brand of the cell makes any difference in deviation.
🤣 u are telling lies again. 2 years battery if u discharge it on yr flashlights & then recharge it= your battery die off or drop 50% shoud be correct.. on next charge.😀
When you have your batteries for use in power emergencies, you need to have them stored in a well-charged state.
Maybe I missed it what temperature where they stored at ?
how to test 18650 battery total capacity without lowering the cut off voltage too much?
cut cut cut i cant stand it, it cant be that hard to make a video in one take…….
What about internal resistance issues as the cell ages? This is how fires start! the voltage loss isnt the issue, I mean itll still work for the most part but performance will be depleted, This is why it takes significantly longer to charge and seems hot after use[depending on load]. Now if you use that cell with the IR issues in a 2S config you make the other cell work harder to compensate creating yet another issue..
I think with just proper handling, proper charging and usage according to ratings, these batteries last waaay way longer. People just tend to misuse them that's why it's giving them bad results.
I used to do this with an Acer laptop & the batteries degraded to about 1/2 an hour of charge, down from about 3 & a 1/2 hours.
I have disassembled some laptop batteries and got bench of 18650 cells charged them to 100%.
But when measuring them with multimeter it shows a difference of 0.1V between some packs is it okay to use them in my project? Or I need to get all the cells with 4.2v and ignore the 4.1v?
Is 0.1v a major difference in 18650 cells?
