    Can someone explain this to me… I'm planning to do an Electric Motorbike Conversion, But cant seem to get this round my head. I'm trying to see the battery size i need to get say 6Kw Battery Pack.

    Correct me if i'm wrong : if i have 600 Cells @ 3.7v 2800mah -> 2800 x 3.7 x 600 = 6.2Kw however this will only be at 3.7v.

    Lets say i need my battery to be 48v, so i will need 13 cells in series @ 3.7 x 2800 x 600 = 6.2Kw "Does this mean i will need to have 600 x 13 cells to have the same 6Kw?" These 13 cells in series will still have a capacity of 2800mah all together right?

    So this means that i will sacrifice Capacity for an increase in voltage? If this is right i will need 13 x 600 -> 7600 cells in all to get the same capacity?

    I'm sure i'm wrong "Hope i Am", please give me a little guidance. +jehugarcia

    Hi, Jehugarcia. Got a question for you.. I'am building an ebike battery for a 48v 1000w hub motor with a 13s bms at 48v. Can i charge it with 12v?

    I want to say thank you for the awesome videos and you've taught me a lot about lithium ion batteries. I brought some laptop batteries from a guy off of the 5miles app. he gave me about 5 laptop batteries for $35. totaling 33 lithium ion batteries above a rated capacity of 2000 milliamp hours each. was this a good deal? By the way all of the batteries are used. I'm planning on taking a non-powered satellite speaker and putting an amplifier, lithium ion batteries , battery charger , and Bluetooth receiver to make it into a portable Bluetooth speaker.

    Hi Jehugarcia,

    i have a little electric scooter. Should I charge the batteries even when I have only used it for 10 or 20% of the capacity, or should I wait until I have driven let's say 50% of the maximum reach or 70% or 90%

    I have a good/bad habit of going for a short drive and put it on charge again.
    Tell me what is the best to get the most out of the batteries

    Thanks mate.

    RV's could have a fold-open solar roof, 3x the size of the vehicle's footprint. If an RV is 20 square meters, it could easily have a 50m² solar roof. You can get a nice distance on that. 17m² could even be available on the go as range improvement during the day.

    100kWh battery bank! Heck yes. Would so love to see you rig that up to a drone and pick up something massive. ;D More simply… would be interesting to see how far you could drive across the US with a battery like that in your Samba with some beefed rigging to handle the weight.
