Nice video, I'm harvesting some 18650's to try to do the same thing.
i hope someone makes led light powered by 18650 so i dont have to do this lol
Would be nice if you recessed the battery holders to be flush, would look professional. I use a soldering iron to cut the plastic away and then glue the battery holders in. You can also get holders with a spring loaded cover
Great hack. Sucky music.
Was wondering, as most Sony L are 2s, 2s2p, 2s3p or 2s4p, it would be feasible to a large battery, something like a 2s12p with 7.4v or do something with a higher voltage, close to a v-mount/gold mount battery – 19v and step it down to 7.4v ? Taking in account the my sony lights need a stable 3A output.
Woooooowwwww
kool but dont you need the temp sensor and recharge managing mini board with the batterys?
Next time, take a strip of velcro and attach the two parts to the underside of the battery holder to help retain the batteries.
I did that to one of the small square ones that took 6AA also. Much better capacity this way.
Should I leave my laptop plugged in and charging when i'm not on-the-go? What’s best for the battery? Ultimately, it’s not clear for me which is worse for a battery. Leaving the battery at 100% capacity will decrease its lifespan, but running it through repeated discharge and recharge cycles will also decrease its lifespan. Basically, whatever you do, your battery will wear down and lose capacity. That’s just how batteries work. The real question is what makes it die more slowly. What is your view in that???
Awesome! Thanks! Sub done
Bro, here's where some money at, can you make a indoor led growing light that is strong enough to produce kind buds and make it cheap to build. Here's your first million bro…
Sorry, Wattage of your 18650?
