A. Batteries work better at this time, caps are rare and expensive devices that are very good at doing things not needed for storage systems typically.

I have the same setup but I can't charge my battery. The device stops sending voltage after a while. If I just connect it to my battery it the overvoltage light turns on, sending 0 volts. If I connect it through a Victron MPPT it charges for 5 seconds and then stops sending amps and voltage slowly goes down. Can anyone orient me if I need to setup something else?
I have tested this 1800w 40A converter for short time @ 45A input, it gets hot, I'm planning to upgrade that heat sink to a bigger one, because I have upgraded 1200w 20A one, and now I use that one at 25A input continuously – these boost converters are the best.
I thought you said all we need was a cheap power supply to charge with.
Search rf man load sharing booster converters. Using resistors, you can use them in parallel. To properly calibrate youโll need a clamp multimeter capable of DC current testing $50.(all cheap ones are only AC only). After i get mine, will update.
Link for where to buy cells is broken. New sub. Great stuff.
Hi is it possible to set it up to charge 12s battery pack ?
Can you combine 2 those step-up converters for double power?
ยฟDรณnde montarรกs esos gabinetes con baterรญas?
Hey Jehu, definitelyย revisitย this if you have the chance, I think alot of people are interested in some way ofย parallelingย the unit. Maybe with a fewย 20SQ045 20A Schottky diodes as protection, fuses, individual switches, case fans, you can hook up 3 of them to output 2kW. (24V*30A*3)
I have a quick question, what are the 3 adjustments, I know the one by the output will change V out but what do the other 2 do..
How did you set the maximum current going into the battery?
Did you adjust through the potentiometer or you just let the battery draw as much as it can handle while limiting only the voltage?
Could one build 2-3 of these setups and connect in parallel to charge larger banks faster?
I'm sure one would need to adjust cc and cv settings to match on all the converters.
I want to put 1.5kw charge into a 5kw bank.
Looks like your setup was getting too hot and you only did 13amps, so I'm assuming I should keep these "20amp" converters under 10amps.
If you have a big battery, say 10kWh, can you use a few of these in parallel to charge the complete pack?
Can i put two of thoose 1800 watt dc dc convwrters in paralell to get more amps?
These boards need proper cooling. With the stock cooling, they can not continuously operate at high current. You can even parallel 2-3 of them and run each at a lower current
With this setup you're relying on the DIY BMS and those small 7S BMS modules to balance the cells, right? I thought you said in another video that was a bad idea because they don't cut off until 4.2-4.3 volts when charging and will also allow to discharge the cells way too much.
