Can it be modified for off grid ?
The Real Question is Why Don't They Set Them Up with BIOS, and a Battery, to Not Lose Settings, Like PC Motherboards? The Price of Going Solar, should really Warrant the Makers To get it Together !

You mentioned Grid tie in for this unit, but no mention if they could be used for residential Off Grid use?
It's just an inverter, so shouldn't be a problem with same or similar configuration.
