Is there any recommended maximum number of cells you can connect in series? Or you can go crazy as long as there is a bms.

Why not design a specific rack that fits your needs and fits the inside dimensions of the perimeter. Then make braces that go from the outer perimeter to your rack and use the new rack as the frame structure. That way you don't have to compromise of where to put batteries. Kinda like the tesla rack…also then it could be removable as a unit and be self contained with all the stuff.

You need to go talk to someone who builds racecar chassis, you can use 1x4x.090" wall tubing with a flange on the end to fit the original floor mating points, and gusset it well, leaving loads of room, or possibly rebuilding the whe whole floor pan, leaving a large open box, you can put even more cells in there, maybe almost just put a whole Tesla battery in there!! Surely there is some race car chassis builders, fabricators around there, I'm not far from Race City USA! I'm sure there is just as many or more fabrication shops there, they can help you build something stronger and lighter than stock!! If it were mine, I'd use what you have there, and build a hump up, to mount a seat on , and fill it with Batteries!! Maybe 4-5 cells tall, maybe it's something to think about???
Jehu, Those bars are too heavy. Consider use aluminum or reinforced fiberglass.
