Thanks to Chad of Electrified Garage for talking Cooling shop
And to Blake Fuller for that Mind blowing lap around the track at Fully Charge Live USA

7) Why not use Supercapacitors?
A. Batteries work better at this time, caps are rare and expensive devices that are very good at doing things not needed for storage systems typically.

Now you know! Lol
Please, use a gimbal for the camera!
where can i find more details about the models and motors ? I have model 3 2019 single motor and small battery. But curious what the differences are. was really interested when talking about the motor and battery versions and sizes.
Chad should know better than to call the PMSRM Model 3 motor a "DC" motor.
audio is shit by the way
It is software restricted. Cooling the whole system is not gonna help much. It is called "leaky bucket" algorythm.
*Don't call Model 3 motors DC, PLZ! All Tesla motors are AC motors.
Wikipedia: "A permanent-magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) uses permanent magnets embedded in the steel rotor to create a constant magnetic field. The stator carries windings connected to an AC supply to produce a rotating magnetic field. At synchronous speed the rotor poles lock to the rotating magnetic field. Permanent magnet synchronous motors are similar to brushless DC motors.
Because of the constant magnetic field in the rotor these cannot use induction windings for starting. These motors require a variable-frequency power source to start.[7][8][9][10][11]
The main difference between a permanent magnet synchronous motor and an asynchronous motor is the rotor.
Permanent magnet motors have been used as gearless elevator motors since 2000.[12]"
Regards extra cooling, what they have done to the Tesla sounds very complicated. In an ICE, you would try a larger radiator and maybe extra air vents to cool the whole system, is there a reason you can't do that on the Tesla? That would also stop the new fault of different parts of the system been different temperatures.
Everyone needs a Chad, except Tesla, they had their Chad!
I wish I could sit on a tesla race car, wanna feel that POWER
A permanent magnet motor can be ac instead of bldc if the back emf is sinusoidal instead of being trapezoidal.
With regards to the start of the video and the heating issue, can't you just offset the heating read out.. Even if that just means pulling out the sensor and putting a heater on it.
