7) Why not use Supercapacitors?
A. Batteries work better at this time, caps are rare and expensive devices that are very good at doing things not needed for storage systems typically.

Is there an ETA on when this will be offered for sale? Would love to buy one (or a bare board) if that's what it takes.

Can i buy one of these prototype board jehu im ready to buy some of your battieries and this is what i need.

    @jehugarcia
In a previous video you talked about putting these in series. What is the max voltage you can get from these? Have you tested that capability?

I am still hoping you will come up with a DIY 'system' rather than having to rely on voluminous soldering of parts that ultimately have to be unsoldered. What I have in mind is a custom made panel box with horizontal slide in slots for custom battery holders. When the custom battery holder slides into the back panel, the back panel allows the +/- connections without an extra wire or XT connector. The front side of the custom battery holder would have a simple BMS indicator to show that the cells in that battery holder are healthy. If not, then that particular battery array could be removed from the panel and checked individually without affecting the overall voltage supply of the powerwall.

Would it be beneficial to heat the pigtails with a heat gun. Relax the memory in the insulation and position them while still pliable?

  6. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Alexander Gunda says:

Jehu, nice design! You should consider in your design at least a 50-100% safety margin (meaning that your board should be able to handle 150-200A) – just to be on the safe side

  7. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jim Jenkins says:

If there was a board mount of that connector you could space them pretty well for a powerwall stack. Otherwise you probably want to use a much longer pig tail and put holes for zip tie strain relief near each connection

    THIS IS GREAT!
one step closer to the 48 v powerwall. I got 18 scooter batteries with 38 more to go! Lol and the information how to do it 🤣

"It's very intuitive." I wish my brain worked like yours. Lol.

  10. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Robert Caldwell says:

If you redesign it so that the connections are at a diagonal, you can flip the board on its side and offset from the batteries….this will lay them at a nice diagonal to the batteries themselves without much fuss.

Can you please share companies that created a metal body where you put your chargers and the factory that created an electric circuit for you?

Any reason why you can;t mount the PCB on the inside of the side wall of your enclosure? The connectors would line up straight on then 🙂

Que bueno Jehú, es un buen comienzo para la evolución de nuestros Powerwall, gran inspiración

  14. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars 78PierreC says:

A tip could be to design the card with a pcb mounted contact, instead of the contact with wires. It looks like an ordinary M12-contact?
