All right, it's that time. Let's talk about batteries. I'm kind of excited about these ones. Okay, this is what came in the door today.

We are about to get, uh, more than a megawatt hour worth of these and there are more. That's the only the reason why we're getting that that many. Uh, it's because I'm like, well, I'm nervous. You know this is how much I can I can buy at least I don't want to buy the whole lot because it's a huge lot.

So anyways, what is it is a EV grade battery. It's A it's an EV battery. It's based off of an LG cam cell. Uh lges, it's a 218 watt hour UH 60 amp power, right? uh cell.

and it's a range and three P So three of these cells are in parallel so this becomes a module uh with 180 amp hours, right? And so the cool thing about these is they come in modules sort of like this one right here. but it's a 10s which is 36 volts I Don't know who needs 36 volts at this, you know level. Unless you're building something like a higher voltage and stuff and you want like 30s, 40s or something, then you can buy four of those modules and then you know, connect them in series and then you're good to go, right? But the cool thing about these is that they're modular. I Mean that they're You know they? You could stack them.

This comes right off of right here. You see that you just slide it in there and now you have a 8s. What I've made here. is a 7s module.

This is a 7s module. It's 24 volts and 180 amp hours. So it's a four and a half kilowatt hour Uh module right here. and it's really small and it slide.

It's about photos like 40, 47 pounds, 45 pounds or something like that, right? So it's very light, very compact. Um, and it's gonna be really affordable. I think I think I'm going to be able to offer these for like a hundred dollars a kilowatt hour. So here's the thing because these are So by the way, they're brand new.

they're unused. zero Cycles The data sheet says is our 2C So I You know the cool thing about EB batteries is usually was that they could push them out of power. These ones are kind of wimpy. They only two seat right? so they're usually in a car.

Uh, and they have like a 60 kilowatt hour battery and they only ask like 150 out of it. So like just like 2C right? So so these ones could give you about a hundred amps each, right? So so this battery right here would be able to give you 24 volts 300 amps. Um, which is what Like 10 almost 10 kilowatt? So I mean you know this is a little battery and it could give you 10 kilowatt. So usually, um, what happens is because this is this is modular.

Then you'll be able to put a bunch of different setups for this ones, right? So this is a 7s. You get a second module like this and then or you make a 4S module and then you connect it to one of the 10s modules and then now you're a 14 uh s right? So uh, 48 volts. Now you can run a full house out of it and then that's gonna be able to give you like 20 kilowatt? Uh Peak right? Uh, But it's going to be almost, uh, like nine kilowatt? Yeah, like nine kilowatt hours? Uh for about a thousand bucks and that is gonna be really really cool. That's why I'm excited about these right? Of course they don't have a BMS this is just raw cells so you have to put a BMS and stuff.
Uh, but because their modular is going to be easy because you have access to all the you know, the terminals and stuff like that. They do have cooling right? So these are the cooling uh, fins right here that are other pouch cells right? So these go on the side and then they come down and they Bend right here. So in reality here you can put a cooling jacket, a cooling a chill plate it's called right so it goes on here. It goes screwed on here and then that you can run liquid through there and then run them.

Uh, you can cool these. So yeah they are I Think we're going to be able to make the cooling plate available also if you wanted to. um but yeah these are and so I know what you're saying. Why am I showing you stuff that I don't have in my warehouse yet? And the reason is because maybe I think I'm gonna try something here because I I don't know I Used to think I I was able to clearly gauge what you guys my customers needed and want it.

uh I would I would you know I was kind of fearless I would like say like I like this battery I'm gonna buy a big giant long load of it and stuff like two truckloads. Yes, bringing it. but now it's becoming a little harder. The stuff that we have the I think the market is changing I think the uh, the people you know customer base that's also changing.

People want more like less DIY they want more like TurnKey and there are there is TurnKey batteries uh in the market now. so then you you have. You know a lot of people are just choosing to go that route instead of making something like this. So it's becoming a little bit harder for me to sell this stuff right? And even as excited as I am I'm like yeah, I'm starting to question my my judgment when it comes to this so this is a clear case of that right? I'm buying a huge load of these and I'm taking a risk and in reality I Don't know if if you guys are gonna buy this or not, right? If enough people are going to find this compelling enough, So what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna sell these at 100 dollars a kilowatt hour? Uh, but I'm gonna pre-sell them, right? Um, so you'll be able to get this at this price now and then you'll have to wait until you come in the door.

I Think it's like gonna be a couple of weeks or something before they come in and then. but then at that point once I get them in the door. I Think I'm gonna raise the price because there's going to be a lot of people again because I believe that these are worth more than that. They're brand new and they're modular so you can use them for pretty much anything.

and you can even use them in a car in an EV right? Which is one of the most challenging setups that you have in here and you can cool them. They have all kinds of cool features and stuff. so uh, if my strategy Works uh, a few of you guys might jump in there and you'll be able to get them at 100 kilowatt hour for these and there's we're gonna offer them in like singles modules like this. uh, or a 7s module like that, or At or a 10s module.
Well, maybe we should offer the 10s module and then there's a 9s module. That's how they come. So because this 7s, we would have to put a bunch of work into it. You know I have to pay someone to do it.

So I think the Seven Is watches are gonna have to be more than 100 kilowatt hours. A hundred dollars a kilowatt hour? Definitely right? So we're gonna make those payload, the 10s and the 9s at 100 skill one hour. All right. So if this works, a lot of you guys are going to find this interesting and compelling enough to buy it.

and then that way I'll be able to buy the whole lot not just the partial lot that I committed to buy right and then if they move out if there's enough inches, they're not. just, you know, buy, keep buying more and stuff and then you know you keep offering this stuff. Maybe lower the prices and stuff like that. Um, but if not, then you know I took the risk and then the spiritual said in the Shelf in my shop and I'll be there I'll try to, you know I'll be trying to find applications that are compelling enough to move just like all the other batteries that I have I have a warehouse full batteries that I bought some of them I bought like almost two years ago, some of them I bought last week and stuff right and so every time I buy a load of batteries.

uh well, I'm taking a risk because I don't I don't know, You know I think this is gonna sell. but let's see you know I think it's gonna sell for this much and stuff. You know it's an everyday normal operating business thing, right? It's like you you buy a thing and then you take a risk and see if you're gonna sell it and then you think it's going to be easy to make it into something. Maybe sometimes it isn't, sometimes it's not.

but I've never. I've always tried away from doing these like pre-sales and stuff just to gauge interest in customers. but I think this time I'm gonna do it. If you don't like this, you don't have to buy it right.

Only if you find if you can wait a few weeks for these to come in and then for us to process them and then get them out, then go ahead you'll We will reward you for a lower price per kilowatt hour or on these ones right? and then after that you know the prices are going to go up and then maybe you guys will buy it. Maybe that you know I don't know. We'll see what the market dictates for these and so all right. this is just a quick video that I want to make on these I have another two videos I think that are scheduled for this week.

Some of them are like long time in the making. Uh and it's taking me a long time because they're very very complex and stuff. but stay tuned for those. Hopefully you guys find at the very least interesting or entertaining.
All right. Okay, thank you for watching this video. We'll see you guys on the next one. Bye.

Jehu man I love diy yes turn key is great but to me DIY IS MUCH BETTERโ€ฆThe feeling of just making your own packs โ€ฆdonโ€™t mean to sound lame but your the reason I do DIY batteries.. If I had money Iโ€™d buy 4 of the sonata cells 24v ..you are the ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ”‹๐Ÿ”‹๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ’ฏ

Wow, great video. I want to be a DIY solar battery builder. Will you make a video showing step by step how to make this battery? I would also be really interested in LifePO4 batteries to make 24v or 48v systems.

Your not selling because the price is to high for DIY, for a little more you can get something with free shipping and 10 year warranty LFP 48v.

I still watch your channel, even though im in Canada, Love this module. Maybe you need to think about an annual warehouse sale? Get some shelf space back, some cash.

I wonder if we can reconfigure the cells to have a 72V60AH battery. 4.3KWh sounds like a very nice battery for a motorcycle.

  12. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars JAMES T. says:

Id love to have a 100 kwh of these, I already have about 18-20 kwh of cells similar to this in 7s groups,
If I had the money I'd definitely buy some, I'd buy every month if I knew they would be more the next month, or if I could get some type of finance, I pay cash for everything, and cash Is funny right now, it's avoiding me!! ๐Ÿ˜™ But in a couple months I'd love to buy some, I need to power my off grid home, there is going to be two of us, and more power is going to be needed!
