Okay, so quick test today. We're going to start testing the Lev 60 cells. Here's a pack built uh with my PCB bus bars. It's a 4S right? 12 volts.

Uh, I'm not going to be able to fully load it to 600 amps mostly just because I don't have a meter clamp that will go up that high. This one tops off at 400 amps I've ordered one but it hasn't arrived. so for now we'll just gonna load it up with a bunch of loads. about 5 000 Watts Worth right? So about 400 amps? Uh.

and then we'll check the thermal camera. We'll run this for like maybe five minute test to see how hot the bus bars get and then after that we'll call it a day. So let's start the video here. Boom! Let's start the counter here.

So there's a counter that started there. Okay, so here we go. Oh now, oh no. What's going on there? Okay, so I had to restart all the loads because their timer had run out, but there's 400 amps there.

The timer stopped here. we go. so it's at 12.3 volts. Okay, so this took a little while for that load to get there.

12.2 4.2 Okay, here's the terminal camera. We are at 44 45 seconds into the test. Here are here we go: 122. This one is 130 in there.

Man that everything is going through that lug right there. 400 amps. This is two 1-0 cable, right? So so this is a continuous test. This is not a 30 second burst.

12.1 volts. We're Nearing two minutes here at 148 150. Okay, so that one right there is getting hot more so than these ones. 139 142 This one is like 146.

49. Yeah, for some reason, those are getting hotter. These cells are rated for 200 and 180 amp continuous right and 600 amps for 10 seconds. But here we're running Uh, Two, two and a half minute test at 400, right? So we're we're running twice the Uh, the rated twice the rate The Continuous rating on it.

And um, we're just trying to see where we're at. 413 amps holding steady 12.12 and it's holding steady 12 volts 12.1 volts Three minutes. Oh, that bar is getting hot For some reason. That bar is like either I didn't torque it enough? Uh, because well, these ones are around the same 162, 162.

168. That one seems a little bit hotter for some reason. Yeah, that one right there though. That's uh, that's straight going into the Uh sales terminal and that one's getting hot.

Why is that one hotter than these ones? Maybe because there's not enough mass in there to absorb all the heat where this ones have the aluminum and the copper in there. All right. 12 volts 12.08 At four minutes, we're at 12 volts 12.8 holding. This is Uh, 100.

Cable is hot at 160. 160, so it's the same. A little bit less 180 over there, 175 over there. but it's They're almost as hot as the cables.

12.03 volts staying above 12 volts this entire time. 450. So 10 seconds to go. five minutes.

Okay, ending the test. There we go. All right. So these are very impressive cells.

Uh, the cells themselves are getting warmed on 130 F there. but you know it after five minutes of double. The Continuous Reading right? So The Continuous Rating on this is um, well. I Wouldn't say it's conservative because continuous is.
It could be for like 10 minutes or 15 minutes. Uh uh, these are 74 amp hours. So there we go. The problem with these bus bars is that we only have one point to one point.

there's only so much mass that you can put in there, right? So and by the way, the the amount of copper in there is about the equivalent of 100. Cable So you know the 1-0 cable is going to get this hot. The bus bars are gonna get that hot right? so we can't Well, I guess you could put larger Cable in here. But the problem is that all that heat is being generated right here.

right at the the lug there. So this is about the uh, the maximum that you can do I think with the single cable and a single battery like this. Okay, these batteries are available at Jag35.com Uh, when you go in here and you click on them, they're available in three different uh variations, right? The pre-built one like that for 229. And then there's a Glow Special.

This is the one that we tested on this video right here. just missing the uh aluminum plates that go on the outside. the those are compression plates but we even have one with a 200 amp BMS so you can run that continuous with the BMS And then you could also buy the BMS by itself just in case you bought this before and you want to pre-order but right now we're out of stock. But here we go.

These are called the Glow Special because this is an individual online that is talking smack talking saying that his batteries are better than you know, 450 or better than headways. they're better than these ones and I'm like all right there you go. I'm gonna give you some competition, we'll price ours the same as yours even though they can. They're twice the amount of battery and they can do 400 amps for about five minutes where his, you know, could barely do 250 amps for 30 seconds by the way.

So there you go, go to Jack35.com You can find these batteries there. We'll see you guys on next video. Bye.

I loved it Jeh, I live in hot climate area where it reach 55 C and just thinking to have it in my car to use it with inverter on my trips plus to crank the engine if the battery dies, what is working temp. It can be handled thru all day ? Thanks

If u put 4 + in series the heat would dispatch probably by half of this test … besides who would use just one to begin with ..

OK so on the purchase options, there is no explanation of GLOWE special assembled, vs , pre assembled 12v battery + populated bms. I am guess the populated bms board is shipped loose, but the rest of the battery is assembled. And I am assuming that the Glowe special is the most complete/assembled version

Do these cells require compression? I just built a pack myself as a lead-acid replacement, but this looks a bit more capable.
