All right Battery Time! Let's talk about a new battery type that we got in. It's a small lot, but I wanted to show you guys because this battery has a very special place for me because I've been using it for like 10 plus years. This right here is a Tesla battery module very much like the modules that are on my bus over there that I've been driving for 10 years. The only difference is that the this one right here comes from the Uh a Mercedes-Benz D-class I think uh and the ones that I have over there are from the Smart for Two electric vehicle I think both of these were made around the same time early generation vehicles.

Um and so this is how Tesla was building these cars. It's crazy because they were like, well we already designed the module. let's just build the same one except just change the configuration so those over there that I have there they're 15s 22p so 22 cells in parallel. This one right here is different.

This one is a 7s. uh I want to say 44p I think uh and what that? The crazy thing about that is that 7s is perfectly matches with 24 volts. So this is legit 24 volt battery pack that you could use with any 24 volt inverter, right? You could use this once you know it's off the car. Now the the capacity is not the best in the world right? this is this is 2009 production cells right? So that means these have been around for 10 years and so uh, they still have a lot of life in them.

like just like mine over there. The problem is that well there's so much more better batteries now to put in a car. So I don't recommend you to put this in a conversion vehicle this now. It's very good for storage.

You can. you can use this for storage. um, solar energy or you know, whatever. you charge them and you discharge them as a off-grade or whatever.

And the cool thing about these is that these are set better than those right? Because this you put two of these side by side connect and power and series. Then you have 14s. So now you can use this literally with any 48 volt inverter and so they're pretty cool. They have their potted right.

They have this super tough uh uh epoxy that you can see here on the other ones that I have over there. I Think it's not as clear as this one. so they changed the design a little bit. I think these are later design.

They did the smart for two first and then this was a second. like these are later. uh because I see some refinements in their their design here. but just like the other ones, they have these uh, aluminum extruded epoxy to the main unit.

So these are very very tough and you could use these holes right here to Mount them up against the wall. You just drive some screws in there and you can mount these very easily into the wall. You put them sideways going up and down and we have. We don't have a lot of these.

We have like one little pallet that came in and it has several other ones. We have some other batteries that are Tesla also and we will be listing those in the future, but for right now we have a few of these if you're interested in getting some Legacy Tesla stuff, but it's still good nonetheless. We've checked we voltage checked all of these I don't know the capacity. We don't have enough to be worth it for us to be checking capacity on these.
We're gonna sound cheap because we got them cheap. We're gonna sell them cheap. Totally totally cool batteries. Uh, that, uh are still being in use like for example in my test and my bus over there, right? But this ones are great because they're 7s for uh, storage.

Uh, energy storage right? So if you're interested in these, they're gonna be at Jack35.com All right, thank you for watching this video. It is a quick one. Stay tuned for the next one. We're going to show you another battery foreign.

Can these be used in car audio application. If so how to disassemble the breakcells individually.

Can somebody specify what Panasonic cell is used in these modules?
Also- the CMU is coded on MB protocol or can be reused?

they would definitely work for the home, my prototype ev I wanted to put together about 10 or so years ago to power my home off the ev having 3 or more packs in circulation along with a changeable battery for the ev
