All right Video time Today we are gonna be talking about Chargers We have about a dozen of these. Gen One. these are General first generation of Tesla Chargers These are the onboard Chargers that went into the Tesla Model SS from 2012 all the way to 2015 I think and so these are the charges that were in underneath your seat, the rear seat. this one in there right? This is 10 kilowatt hour 10 kilowatt A charger right? So it charges quite fast.

Um, and those early days Tesla was, uh, would offer the cars with one of these Chargers or two of these charges so you can actually charge at home up to 20 kilowatt right? Which is crazy because today there's I Don't think there's uh, a car that can go up there I think maybe the lightning might be able to charge up to like 24 from what I remember, but I might be wrong there I don't support me on that. Um, this is this is crazy in those days right? I Think they stopped because there's quite a bit of problems with the with the plugs and stuff. they were melting or something. but the in those early days you can get them.

and if you have an old car like that and if you would want to update uh or upgrade your thing to putting a second charger, this would be the charger to get right. So I don't know what's involved I think you could just I think all the hardware and it's set in there so that you can just plug it in and it would just work. Uh I know that uh, there's a video out there by uh Rich rebuilds that it's an old one. He did this a long time ago and he talks about more in detail.

I will link that in the description of this video. There's also a Wiki page uh on this charger, right? because there's a lot of them and so this Wiki page will show you and we'll um, well, we'll allow the person with the right skill set to be able to use this in a DIY version. So basically the wiki tells you all the information that's out there that people have figured out. like the connectors, the pins, the pin outs of all this stuff.

uh the you know the inside, you know, like the topology of the design of the you know of info that the right folks would be able to use to get these. uh, going right. And so again we have I'm not going to take this apart and I'm going to talk too much because I'm not really qualified to to tell you more than this. Just an overview of what you could do with this.

All right? Uh, we're we have a handful of these so we don't have that many of them. so it's like my investment in this thing's not gonna be great. Um, we're selling really cheap I think they're probably the cheapest one on the internet. I've seen these go up to like 250 300 bucks elsewhere and you know we don't really need to get that much for these.

We just, you know, we just need them out of our warehouse because we need the space to get more batteries in and more newer products, right? And so if you're interested in this and if you have a use for it, hit us up. They're going to be at Jack35.com Uh Tesla Uh Chargers Gen One 10 kilowatt right? Um, and if you do end up buying some of these and you use them on like in a DIY project and stuff, send us pictures because we want to see what you guys are doing with all this stuff. I mean every day? Here's here's part of the what we're shipping out today, right? And all these batteries are going into projects, they're going to things and sometimes we just don't hear back, right? and so yeah, we'd love to hear back to what you guys are building. Uh and so definitely hit us up quick video today just showing you that we put those up on the website.
There's a bunch of new products that are coming every day into our website so every every now and then I make videos and just to show you guys what's out there, right? All right, stay tuned for the next one. We'll see you guys later. Bye thank you thank you Everything Foreign. Foreign.
